Please ensure that your children come to school dressed for our west coast weather. As we proceed into the rainy, colder months it is imperative that children dress appropriately for the weather (jackets and boots), even if they are being driven to and from school. Students will be outside on most days during the recess and lunch breaks, and need to wear suitable clothing and footwear; however, if the weather is deemed extreme, a double bell will ring at break times and students will stay indoors.
We also want to remind parents/guardians of the Delta School District’s Winter Weather Procedures and announcements. All schools in the Delta School District will remain OPEN if at all possible during winter weather, including snowfalls. If there are extreme weather conditions and the District decides to close our school or all Delta schools, the decision will be made by 7:00 a.m. and the closure (or delayed opening) will be announced on all local radio stations as well as on the District website. We do not announce that schools are open. If there is a wide spread power failure in North Delta during the night, please check that we have power before dropping children off at school. Thanks for your cooperation.
